How Does the Murder Investigation Work?

Realistic police file for an online murder game

Solving a Murder Case

During a murder case, you'll either work alone or in a team to solve a realistic cold case. You'll have access to the online case file and the crime database. In addition to the online environment, you can also order the physical case file by post. However, you can't only order the physical file, as you always need the online database to search for CCTV footage, suspects, and license plates.

Participants in the Investigation

A murder case is suitable for independent or team-solving and can be ordered for groups of up to 100 people. You order the murder case for the number of people participating in the investigation. For example, if you have 23 people, you'd order a murder case for a group of up to 25 people. After placing the order, you'll receive a link through which participants can create their own login account to access the case file and database. Even when working in teams or with fewer computers, we recommend ordering for the number of participants, allowing anyone to quickly look up information on a mobile device without waiting for others.

Individual or Team Play

Since each participant has access to the same file, you can decide whether each participant works independently on the murder investigation, the whole group collaborates, or you divide the group into teams. This allows you to introduce a competitive element, determining which team will be the first to unmask the culprit.

Requirements for the Murder Case

A computer, laptop, or iPad with an internet connection, preferably one device per participant. You can also use a mobile phone to look up information in the database. For viewing interrogations, CCTV footage, and reading the online file, it's advisable to use a device with a larger screen.

Duration of the Murder Investigation

The duration of a murder investigation depends on the number of participants and whether they engage in discussions. If you work on a murder case with 12 people and divide the material, you'll discover the culprit faster than if you were working with 2 people. More information on the duration is specified for each murder case.
